The Belief that a Particular Race is Superior or Inferior to Another is Racism

Dear Lovelies, how have you all been doing recently :-)  I hope you have all been good :P …. I do apologies for my absence since the last post… I was unwell and for once I didn’t pore my heart out…. Hmmm anyway (a story for another time) … Now for my Juicy experiences of the day :D or the last few days :D….. As always so much goes on our lives very colorful and rich….

So much drama …. The most shocking yet interesting was.... when a few days ago my husband and I met up with some friends (2 couples – couple x and y) and we were having dinner in a nice restaurant and were having interesting conversations,  when the topic of the Divinci Code (the movie and book) came up, and when I say the topic.... it was only about was the book or the movie better ….. And then of the blue the guy in couple x decides to turn it into a religious debate and wouldn’t stop even when the topic was changed… the following  are  a few statements that were made by him

“Why do we need sacrifices??”, so we reinforced how Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son, or just basically how and why we sacrifice animals like goats and cows/bulls in Islam (which is his religion too) etc.

The he goes on to say “most of us are followers not believers” – making general statements, now you have to keep in mind that different religions and nationalities were sitting on the table….

And then he blurts out “ let me give u an example, bla bla bla …. The dumbest race of all humans is the Blacks, they are stupid and have no brains” …..

There was pin drop silence we were like what the #*X*#, I MEAN Seriously, I said “Excuse Me !!!” in utter disbelief and shock….. He said it again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????.....

We were all in shock really… we said “ you can’t just discount an entire race (and he has African heritage!!!), they are ppl and your being racist” and he said “no I am not, it just my opinion”….. OMG

So I said “ just coz u doesn’t like someone you can’t hate or discount and entire community or race for that…. Not all the ppl are like that one not so nice person…. and most importantly not demine a human life let alone an entire race or continent coz God did create us(humans) as superior life forms from the others and that no one is better than another except in their belief and faith”!!!

The guy in Couple X claims he is superior and better than certain races!!!!

Seriously how is that justifying being not being racist???? Anyway I said what I had to and so did my husband and other ……

I asked him to be fearful of God and to think about what he has said coz, karma also is not so nice sometimes……

Racism has been there throughout human history…… we can define it … as the

•  hatred of one person by another
• or the opinion that another person is less than human
• because of skin color, language, customs, place of birth
• Or any reason that supposedly reveals the basic nature of that person.

From Time Immemorial ... it has caused wars, slavery, the formation of nations, legal codes etc…. why do we allow it exist in our world???
